Free gets you one demo. Starter is $40 a month billed yearly but only does screenshots. Growth, the first tier with editable HTML, is $500. Premium is $1,200. Extra seats are $40 on Starter and $100 on Growth. Prices have not moved since January 2025.

Read from Storylane's plan page on 31 July 2026, toggling between monthly and yearly views. Yearly is advertised as 20% off. All prices per month. Last verified 31 July 2026.
Note the last row. RepX Chat is the AI agent layer and it is priced separately, starting above the top demo tier.1 If you are costing out "Storylane with an AI agent", that is two subscriptions.
Six line items, but only two decisions: screenshots or HTML, and how many seats. Everything else follows from those.
The step that decides the purchase
Starter to Growth is a 12.5× jump, from $40 to $500 a month. Editable HTML demos sit on the far side of it.
That matters because HTML mode is what most buyers mean by an interactive demo. Screenshot mode, which is what Free and Starter give you, is documented as suited to flows that do not need on-screen editing.2 The editable replica that keeps buttons and scrolling working starts on Growth.3
So the honest entry price for a team that needs editable demos is $6,000 a year, not $480. Add three people to the five Growth seats and you are at $800 a month, or $9,600 a year.1
Model Growth at eight seats, not five. Five is the plan allowance; eight is what a marketing-plus-sales rollout usually needs, and it costs $3,600 a year more.
What each tier holds back
Some gating is on the pricing page. The rest is in the documentation, which is where teams tend to discover it mid-trial.
| Capability | Starts on | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| HTML demos and editor | Growth | A clickable replica rather than a slideshow3 |
| A/B testing | Growth | Compares completion, clicks, lead capture and intent4 |
| Custom subdomain | Starter | Demos on a Storylane subdomain5 |
| Your own domain | Premium | A branded URL costs $1,200 a month5 |
| Single sign-on | Premium | Routine security requirement, three tiers up1 |
| Offline demos | Premium | Events without reliable wifi1 |
| External API | Enterprise | Automation means a quote, not an upgrade6 |
Read from Storylane's documentation and plan page, 31 July 2026. Last verified 31 July 2026.
The jump most people do not see coming is the domain one. A Storylane subdomain arrives at Starter, but demos on your own domain wait until Premium.
Prices have not changed since January 2025
We pulled an archived copy of the same plan page from 16 January 2025. The yearly prices are identical: Free at $0, Starter $40, Growth $500, Premium $1,200.7
Eighteen months of stable pricing is useful if you are negotiating a multi-year term or modelling renewals. It also means the published numbers are probably the numbers, rather than a placeholder ahead of a rise.
Do not expect much discount on list. A vendor that has held prices for eighteen months is not under pressure to move them.
Five things the pricing page does not tell you
Published pricing is not complete pricing. Each of these is worth settling before signature rather than after.
- Trial length. No duration is stated anywhere on the plan page.
- Minimum term. No general minimum commitment is published.
- Most overage rates. Extra seats are published for Starter and Growth. Visitor overage and account-reveal overage are not.
- Media-to-Demo credits. The feature runs on credits and the documentation still describes the exact allowance as being finalised.2
- Enterprise pricing. Quote-only, with no published floor.1
Trial length, minimum term, the visitor and account-reveal overage rates, and the Media-to-Demo allowance. All four are open on the public page, and all four are cheaper to pin down before you sign.
We price by session, not by seat
Skippr AI demo is a live AI employee for product demos, so we compete with Storylane. Which is why every price above links to Storylane's own page with the date we read it, plus an archived snapshot of what it said at the time.
Our pricing model, for contrast: Skippr is priced per session rather than per seat, published from $149/month with a $599/month tier.8 That is a genuinely different shape: Storylane's cost grows with headcount, ours grows with demo volume. Which is cheaper depends entirely on which of those two things is growing for you.
Same job, different mechanism. Storylane answers the same question a different way.
Which tier you should buy
| If you want… | Choose |
|---|---|
| To evaluate it before spending anything | Free |
| Screenshot demos, one owner, lowest cost | Starter, $480/yr |
| Editable HTML demos and A/B testing | Growth, $6,000/yr |
| Demos on your own domain, SSO, offline | Premium, $14,400/yr |
| Programmatic demo creation | Enterprise, quote |
| An AI agent answering visitor questions | RepX Chat, +$24,000/yr |
| Cost that tracks demo volume, not headcount | Skippr AI demo |
| Someone to answer the buyer live, mid-demo | Skippr AI demo |
Decision routes, not feature scores. Skippr appears only where the difference is categorical rather than a matter of degree.
Pricing questions buyers ask
What will this cost us a year?
Starter is $480 for one seat. Growth is $6,000 for five. Premium is $14,400 for ten. Extra seats add $480 a year on Starter and $1,200 on Growth.1
Is the free plan usable?
For evaluating, yes. For working, no. One published demo is the binding limit, and it is screenshot mode only.1
How big is the annual discount?
20%, and the tiers bear it out: $40 against $50, $500 against $625, $1,200 against $1,500.1
Do we need Enterprise for the API?
Yes. The external API is Enterprise-only and needs a support-issued workspace ID and access token.6
Can we buy it outright?
The public plans are monthly or yearly subscriptions. No perpetual licence is mentioned and we could not establish whether one exists.1
Worth costing the alternative shape
If your demo volume is growing faster than your team, per-session pricing works out differently to per-seat. Fifteen minutes with Skippr AI demo is enough to see whether a live agent beats a recording for your motion, and what it would cost at your volume.
